12/27/08  Several tools are now available for decrypting hidden messages.

11/20/08  We started having a serious data insertion problem.  For now, we are not able to find the cause of the problem.  Our spam database will not be updated until we fix the problem.

Hate spam?  Yeah, we all do.  So do many spammers themselves.  This website provides information for webmasters to locate and remove spam exploitations within their websites.  Internet shoppers, never make purchases at spam-sponsoring websites.  Do you really think legitimate websites are advertised through spam posts?

Spam is not the matter of e-mail messages any more.  It comes in other forms including blog/forum posts and profiles.  As for profile spam, many major websites including Amazon.com-owned Alexa, CNET News and technorati fall victims.  One of the worst victims we have observed is Google-owned video-sharing website YouTube.

Unforutnately, not all webmasters are responsible enough to remove spam posts and spam profiles.  They would rather allocate their human resources to money-making departments.  And if they do and let cyber criminals make spam posts and profiles, innocent Internet users will ultimately suffer.

Another irresponsible spam-exporting group is that of free website providers.  They give free tools to cyber criminals.  Cyber crimianls then create junk websites to redirect Internet users to other websites that sponsor spam operations.  That's the typical picture of a spam cycle.

Free webspace providers host many malware-distributing websites and phishing websites.  And they want innocent Internet users to report abuse.  That's silly, right?

Our ultimate goal is to build an automatic alert system that gives webmasters e-mail notifications of spam posts and profiles implicating their websites.  But it will take months to build one.  For now, what we offer is statistics - daily spam post volume - and a list of actual spam posts and hopefully more features to come soon.

  free web hosting abuse
Many free web hosting websites are evil.  Some of them seem to willingly invite spammers to have websites so that they can get paid for ad impressions.  Some free hosting providers don't even know that they are hosting PayPal & Skype phishing websites.  (Click here for more information.)  Let's see which are favorite ones chosen by spam terrorists.

One signature that spam terrorists leave is the IP address.  By looking at just one IP address, it might not give us much information.  Many of them use proxy servers to post spam comments anyway.

Let's take a big picture.  What if we aggregate all IP addresses used by spam terrorists?  Surprisingly, more than one tenth of all IP addresses used by spam terrorists are traced to one network.  Yeah, watch out for 200.63.42.136 and 200.63.42.75.
